Jeffrey Miller has represented individuals, businesses, and community organizations in complex matters before trial and appellate courts, as well as various state and city agencies. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia, as well as before the United States Supreme Court. He holds the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a “Superb” rating from Avvo, and has been recognized repeatedly as a Super Lawyer.

A leader within the legal community, Jeffrey has served as Trustee of the Brooklyn Bar Association, Chairman of its Civil Courts Committee, Vice Chairman of both the Commercial Law Committee and the Grievance Committee, and an active member of the Judiciary Committee and several other committees. He has also been appointed by Supreme Court justices to serve as a Special Master, Court-Appointed Referee, and Court Evaluator, reflecting the judiciary’s trust in his expertise and judgment. A dedicated mentor, Jeffrey regularly teaches CLE programs through the Brooklyn Bar Association and the Inns of Court, and has guided several employees from early employment through law school and into successful legal careers.

Deeply committed to his community, he has been actively involved with the Bergen Beach and Mill Island Civic Associations and has served multiple appointments to Community Board 18. He has also served several terms on the Kings County Democratic Screening Committee, helping to ensure the thoughtful and fair evaluation of judicial candidates. Jeffrey currently serves as President of the Brooklyn Brandeis Society, an organization of lawyers and judges dedicated to promoting legal ethics, justice, Jewish culture, and collegiality within the profession.

While a student at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Jeffrey was selected by Barry Scheck to work with the internationally renowned Innocence Project, an experience that strengthened his lifelong commitment to justice. He is also a past recipient of the Anti-Defamation League’s Belkin Award for his pro bono civil rights advocacy.
